My love of painting started in Junior High when I took tole painting classes with my mom. I quickly moved to canvas painting and then painting on the back side of glass. Since then I have branched out into several areas of decorative art including painting on candles, clay pots, jewelry boxes and furniture. I started doing murals on walls (and sometimes refrigerators) in 1999. I also do painted texture effects such as faux marble, tiles, and glazed textures.

This is a sample of a painting done on the back side of a piece of glass. An image is drawn in ink, then painted with oil paints on the back side of the glass.

General Information About Pricing

$35 per hour for design and decorative painting time.

$25 per hour for flat color painting and preparation/varnishing time.

Free Estimates

The area to be painted, size and detail of the work all affect the painting time. Please contact me to discuss your project in detail.

Painting projects are limited to a 30 mile radius around Cedar Rapids.
